For those of you in Singapore, Happy National Day! Singapore is 50 years old today.
To celebrate the occasion, I have written, not one, but two songs :)
The latest song called 'Bless Our Singapore' was written on behalf of the Catholic Church of Singapore,
as a prayer and a blessing for this, Singapore's Jubilee year.
The music video was just released a few days ago. It is a video that I had a wonderful and emotional
time filming with my daughter Claire. Thanks to the Archdiocese of Singapore and Pixelmusica and
all the others who helped to put forward this music video.
You can hear the song and watch the video for 'Bless Our Singapore' below.
The other song 'Kite' is a song that captures the emotional tug-of-war between being with a loved one and leaving a loved one;
between being in a place that anchors you and being in a place where you can fly. I wrote 'Kite' with the incredibly gifted singer-songwriter Charlie Lim
as part of an SG50 music project titled 'Sing, Love'.
Listen/Download 'Kite' for free at http://imclive-group.com/sing-love.html
BTW, if you're an audiophile, download the song. The nuances are much better conveyed in the download. :)
And you can see the video animation of the song here
The song is arranged and produced by Kavin Hoo http://www.earthtones-studio.com
Thanks too to Ruth Ling from Red Roof Records for getting Charlie and I on board this SG50 'Sing,Love' project and for steering the project, and it's music video to fruition.
Thanks also to the T'ang Quartet who play so beautifully on the recording.
So go take a listen :)
I hope you enjoy it.

Claire and Francis(can). or rather, Claire and the Franciscan :) We celebrated Fr. John-Paul Tan's 25th year of priesthood this past Monday. Thank God for this wonderful priest :) #blessourSG #franciscan #claireandfrancis #priesthood #catholic #proud2bcatholic
As a child I used to love playing with the little red seeds from the Saga tree. Apparently these seeds have been used historically as units of weight for fine measures of gold etc. because each seed is almost identical in weight to any other seed. So I was delighted with this Risis bracelet adorned with the humble Saga seed. I wore this for my recent performance at the Botanic Gardens and it felt quite apt wearing a bracelet with seeds in the setting of a garden :) Now I'm just curious to know if anyone knows where I can find a nice Saga tree from which to collect some more saga seeds? I'd love to let Claire run around and collect them for some art projects :) #art #bracelet #risisofficial #sagaseed @risisofficial

I had such a great time at the NDP 2015! It was awesome to sing 'Song For Singapore' for the nation :)) I'm going to miss my red dragon playground. I feel like a Belle without her Beast. (excuse the Disney reference!) Thanks to NDP costume designer and art director Yang Derong for the lovely yellow dress, thanks to Castaner for the super comfy glittery gold high heels, thanks to Matt at Bobbi Brown for the make-up and Ivan at Kim Robinson for the hair. thanks too to Yelyn, Desmond, Patrick, Benny, Shah, the bus uncle, and all the people who worked tirelessly in the background to make sure that everything went smoothly for NDP. I feel truly blessed and grateful to have been a part of our nation's 50th NDP celebration. #SG50 #ndp #ndp2015 #castaner #castanerofficial #castanersg #bobbibrownsg #kimrobinsonsg #missingmydragonplayground #thisusedtobemyplayground #blessourSG

I was heading out of the parking lot after sound check at Botanic Gardens and had to stop the car for this little guy to cross :)) Nice little reminder to follow nature's pace.
Did I mention that I love durian? I'm hoping this is a Mao Shan Wang durian. #durian
Yes dragon, if I hear you correctly, you said that you'd like me to come visit you at Toa Payoh sometime? Ok. I will bring Claire with me and we will come and visit you this week. By the way, your nose is tickling my ear and your breath smells of durian. Not that I'm complaining. I love durians :) #dragonplayground #ndp #ndp2015
